Introduction
- Purpose
- The program aims to foster excellent research personnel to lead industrial technology development by establishing research-centered degree programs through collaboration between government-funded research institutes and universities, and by mutually utilizing personnel and research facilities.
- Basic Policy
- Admission tests are conducted separately by each cooperative university for the joint Master's and Doctoral programs.
Operational Methods
- Lectures and Basic Experiments: General and major-specific lectures are conducted by the university.
- Experiments and Research: Experimental guidance and thesis supervision are managed by the research institutes.

| Required Documents | Applicants must submit additional documents required by the university for admission to the university-industry programs. |
| Advisors | After admission, each student is assigned one advisor from the research institute and one graduate professor from the university as joint advisors. |
| Thesis Submission and Evaluation | Thesis submission and evaluation are conducted in accordance with the graduate school’s regulations, although specific details are determined by the steering committee. |
| Degree Conferment | Degrees are conferred by the university president to those who have completed all required coursework, passed the necessary examinations, and succeeded in their thesis defense. |

Admission Registration and Training Approval

Eligibility Requirements
- Individuals who have obtained (or are expected to obtain) a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
- Applicants not employed by any other institutions or industries as of the start date
- Candidates wishing to major in fields where laboratory practice and thesis supervision are possible at the Korea Institute of Energy Technology
Training incentives
A monthly training stipend is provided during the degree period.
