“Electrostatic spray air purifying technology that simultaneously removes ultrafine dust, bacteria, and volatile organic compounds with water droplets” developed by Choi Jong-won, principal researcher at the KIER, was selected as one of the top 100 national R&D achievements organized by the Ministry of Science and ICT.

Air purification technology using water droplets is a technology that can catch not only fine dust but also dust, airborne bacteria, and VOC (Environmental Hormone) necessary to control indoor air quality. In recognition of his contribution to solving the problem of indoor air pollution, which is emerging as a social problem, he received the honor of being selected as one of the '10 R&D achievements to resolve social issues.
