On November 1 (Mon), The KIER held a ceremony for intellectual property rights/know-how on fuel cell system failure diagnosis technology transfer to H2Systems, Inc.

This technology transfer will broaden cooperation in a wide range of areas to develop a diagnostic model and designated device based on the fuel cell system failure database to utilize it in domestic and overseas fuel cell diagnosis and maintenance, thereby contributing to the implementation of the hydrogen economy and achievement of carbon neutrality goals.

Director Lee Won-yong of the R&D Planning and Coordination Division, who is in charge of the research, said, “The application of this technology can contribute to the achievement of the fuel cell commercialization by increasing the economic efficiency of fuel cell operation and improving reliability through quick and accurate diagnosis and efficient response. We expect to be able to preempt the maintenance service business and market.”
