Dr. Lee Chan-woo of the Computational Science & Engineering Laboratory and a research team led by Dr. Yoon Hyung-chul of the Clean Fuel Research Laboratory of Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER) successfully discovered the mechanism of the chemical bond of metal chelates, which demonstrates the difference in the absorption performance of metal chelates that are known to be a highly efficient way of removing a large amount of NOx.

The findings of the research were published in the Chemical Engineering Journal, which is a prestigious academic journal in the field of environmental engineering.
