The Electric Power System Research Team and the Wind Energy Research Team of Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER) developed the Power Hardware-In-Loop System (P-HILS) and a system to verify the control algorithm of wind power generators to secure the reliability of large-scale wind power generators.

The systems developed by the research team can reduce the cost as well as the operation expenses by optimizing the control algorithm through repeated tests and increasing operational reliability. It is expected that the systems will be applied to the development of key components of wind power generators to facilitate domestic manufacturing.
