Oxide in Circulating Fluidized-Bed Combustion Boilers and Developing Coal-Ammonia Dual-Fuel Power Generation On March 24 (Thu), the Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER) signed the ‘Mutual Cooperation Agreement on Reduction of Nitrogen Oxide from Circulating Fluidized-Bed Combustion (CFBC) Boilers and Coal-Ammonia Dual-Fuel Power Generation’ with OCI SE Company Ltd.
In accordance with the Agreement, KIER and OCI SE decided to cooperate in developing the technologies for circulating fluidized-bed combustion power generation utilizing the biomass unused in Korea and for coal-ammonia dual-fuel power generation.
In accordance with this Agreement, KIER will share the information on the results of developing the technology for denitrification in the combustor of the circulating fluidized-bed combustion system and OCI SE will share the information on the process for its circulating fluidized-bed combustion boilers (plants), conduct an on-site demonstration review for applying the denitrification technology to the combustor, and cooperate in promoting the project to reduce nitrogen oxide in CFBC boilers.
