A research team led by Dr. Yoon Ha-na of the Energy Storage Laboratory of Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER) conducted joint research with Mokpo National University, University of California, Berkeley, and Harvard University and demonstrated the electric charge storage mechanism and the key performance of the next-generation ultra-fast charging aluminum batteries.

The team successfully developed a high-performance aluminum battery of ultra-low price, ultra-fast charging, and long-term usage by using the graphene-CNT combined electrodes.
The findings of the research were published in Nano Letters (IF 11.189), which is a prestigious academic journal in the field of nanoscience and technology issued by the American Chemical Society.
