A research team led by Dr. Youn Young-jik of the Energy Network Laboratory of Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER) successfully developed a heat exchanger applied with self-excited bubble oscillation. With this technology, the cold air of the winter can be used in air conditioning agricultural greenhouses in the summer.

The research team stated that “It is important to possess a high-efficiency low-cost technology based on renewable energy that can cool greenhouses to enhance food security in the face of global climate change, and using the natural cold air from the winter would be a good alternative.”
