Korea Institute of Energy Research (President Jong-Nam Kim) held its super-fast charging station technology workshop at the Jeju Global Research Center on Thursday, August 20.

In the first session, under the topic of technology trends and demonstration cases, the current statuses of the electric vehicle charging infrastructure market and technology trends, super-fast charging station construction technology, and super-fast automatic charging system technology of 400kW or higher corresponding to xEVs were presented.

In the second session, ISO015118 plug & charge and charging infrastructure security, domestic electric vehicle charger platform development technology development trends, and demonstration cases were presented under the theme of ‘super-fast charging station technology'. An in-depth discussion and exchanges of information on the development of super-fast chargers, standards for super-fast charging stations, and optimal operation technology in connection with the power system were prepared.
