Senior Researcher Joungho Park of the platform technology laboratory at Korea Institute of Energy Research (President Jong-Nam Kim) developed a “virtual reality (VR) smart solution for engineering professional education” that is as vivid and realistic as experiencing a real plant through collaboration with INFLUSION INC.

The newly developed solution overcomes the constraints of time and space and provides vivid VR as if the user is experiencing a real plant, such as a variety of tasks including driving, understanding, and using equipment and indicators; starting up a process; carrying out normal operation; and responding to emergency situations. In addition, through the application of the latest VR technology, it provides optimized plant engineering education that is more engaging and realistic than that of existing technologies.
