Korea Institute of Energy Research (President Jong-nam Kim) held ‘The 1st Hydrogen Economy and Korea's Hydrogen Technology’ online symposium on Tuesday, September 15. The aims of the symposium were to diagnose the current status of hydrogen technology in Korea and seek measures to make Korea a leading hydrogen country. It was hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and organized by Korea Institute of Energy Research.

President Jong-nam Kim said, “This symposium provided a venue where hydrogen experts in various fields were able to communicate with each other” and added that “as Korea's only energy technology research institute, Korea Institute of Energy Research will lead hydrogen technology development and related exchanges between hydrogen fields to realize a hydrogen economy and society.”
