KIER held four webinars in collaboration with GABI (Global America Business Institute) and with participation from the US government, national research institutes, and private companies, on May 14 (Thu), July 1 (Wed), July 23 (Thu), and September 4 (Fri), to discuss R&D in the field of batteries, hydrogen fuel cells, and energy system integration in the new normal era of COVID-19.

President Jong-nam Kim said,“through the webinars, we expect to identify cooperative research areas with overseas partners, which will be the foundation for strengthening basic domestic research capabilities.”

In the future, KIER will continue to promote international cooperation with research institutes in energy technology fields with high entry barriers, such as the solar, supercritical power, and wind power fields of Sandia Research Institute (SNL) and the catalyst field for syngas conversion of Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL).
