Hosting ceremony to commemorate the 43rd anniversary of KIER

Korea Institute of Energy Research (President Jong-Nam Kim) held a ceremony on Monday, September 4 to commemorate the 43rd anniversary of the Institute’s founding.


The Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER), a non-profit scientific research institute supported by the government of the Republic Korea, has consistently focus on the research and development (R&D) of energy technologies, thereby making significant contributions to the nation’s energy security.


Although this year's ceremony was attended by fewer people due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the entire ceremony was broadcast live online.


President Jong-Nam Kim encouraged the employees by mentioning that "The role of the Korea Institute of Energy Research is important for the energy revolution for future generations," in a commemorative speech. and said "as the world's leading energy research institute, we will solve the climate crisis between the nation and mankind by creating outstanding research results that can realize 2050 carbon neutrality,"
