Possible to produce low-cost fine chemical products with a high-efficiency complex drying device.

Dr. Seon-gil Kim's research team at Korea Institute of Energy Research's EMS Laboratory has developed a high-efficiency and high-quality “complex drying device for high-viscosity materials” applicable to drying technology, which is an essential process for the production of fine chemical products such as chemical raw materials, pharmaceuticals, surfactants, and cosmetics.


This technology is developed for the first time in Korea as a new type of continuous complex drying device suitable for the adhesive properties of high-viscosity materials, and it applies a hybrid rotary electric heating cylinder method in which hot air dries the object to be dried through sequential heat transfer of conduction and convection.
