The Korea Institute of Energy Research held an event of Solar skin business cooperation and building demonstration system with Kolon Global Co., Ltd., Shinsung ENG Co., Ltd., and ABM Co., Ltd. on November 26 (Thur), to build a positive energy community based on new and renewable energy.
Sola skin is a building-integrated colored solar panel that can achieve higher efficiency than the existing BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaics). In addition, since the solar cell is not visible from the exterior, it can be used as a high-end building exterior material, and the power produced through Sola skin is used as positive energy for the building, thereby reducing electricity costs.

Based on this agreement, the performance evaluation of Sola skin, a building-integrated colored photovoltaic panel technology, will be conducted, and each institution will cooperate in Sola skin to ensure this technology can be utilized as an element technology for building a new and renewable energy-based plus energy community platform.
