Dr. Byung-hyun Kim’s Platform Lab. (Dr. Hyun-seok Cho and Dr. Chang-hee Kim of Hydrogen Research Dept.) at KIER developed a water electrolysis catalyst with high performance and high durability, which is the key to low-cost green hydrogen production, through joint research with Kyungpook National University and Georgia Institute of Technology.

The research result was published on the front cover of the world-renowned journal ‘Energy & Environmental Science/IF: 30.289, JCR, ranked No. 1 in the field of Environmental Sciences, top 0.2%) issued by Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) in May 2021.
