Only Qualified in Korea for Accreditation Testing Organization of Solar Cell Device Measurement

Dr. Seung-kyu Ahn’s Photovoltaics Research Dept. at KIER acquired KOLAS* accredited testing institute qualification Solar cell element current-voltage (IV) characteristic curve measurement standard (KS C IEC 60904-1:2009, efficiency measurement) and solar cell spectral response measurement standard (KS C IEC 60904-8:2015) that meet international standards in Korea, measuring the responsiveness of each wavelength of sunlight.
* KOLAS (Korea Laboratory Accreditation Scheme : It was established in accordance with the ‘Framework Act of National Standards’ of the Republic of Korea as an organization that operates an accreditation system that meets international standards. It’s credibility has been internationally recognized for accreditation testing and calibration institutions of the affiliated organizations.


Currently, it is a member of the Asia-Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation ? Mutual Recognition Agreement (APLAC-MRA), and the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation - Mutual Recognition Agreement (ILAC-MRA), and serves as a bridge for the outcomes of domestic testing and calibration can be recognized internationally.
