Vice minister of energy of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy visited the Daejeon headquarters on August 18 (Wed) to tour the clean hydrogen research site and to attend the meeting of clean hydrogen industry.

The vice minister of energy looked around KIER’s research sites such as ▲high purity hydrogen production unit ▲CCUS ▲water electrolysis stack ▲ammonia decomposition catalytic reactor, etc., and listened to the voices of related companies at the meeting.

At the meeting, the industry agreed that it should contribute to the realization of carbon neutrality and job creation by ▲expansion of domestic hydrogen life cycle technology, and ▲creating a hydrogen industry ecosystem. In addition, they suggested the need for government support for ▲domestic production of clean hydrogen through Carbon, Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS), ▲commercialization of carbon-free power sources such as hydrogen turbines and green ammonia, and ▲investment in overseas hydrogen development and transportation technology.
