A research team led by Dr. Kim Chang-hee at Hydrogen Research Department of Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER) successfully developed the 10kW-class high-efficiency alkaline electrolysis stack with the own technology that enabled electrolysis to produce 2N㎥ of green hydrogen per hour at 84% (for HHV) efficiency at most.

During the 1,008 hours of operation, the stack successfully maintained the 82% hydrogen production efficiency, proving its outstanding efficiency and durability.

After the development of technology to design water electrolysis stacks available to respond to load changes in 2020, the research team went further to prove their outstanding feat by entirely developing the core parts and materials with its unique technologies, validating the safety and durability based on more than 1,000 hours of operation, while demonstrating the world's best efficiency for the long time.
