On June 16 (Thur), Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER) concluded a ‘tripartite agreement with SK E&S and CETEK on R&D cooperation for advances in CO2 capture technology to achieve carbon neutrality’ at KIER headquarters in Daejeon.

Under the MoU, the three parties will implement joint research projects to develop, demonstrate, and commercialize CO2 capture technology optimized for steam methane reforming (SMR) for mass production of hydrogen and the development of natural gas combined cycle (NGCC).
