On June 11 (Fri), Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER) held a signing ceremony on the technology transfer of its 'high-efficiency water electrolysis stack design technology’ including intellectual property licensing and know-how to TECHCROSS at KIER headquarters in Daejeon.

Using the electricity from renewable energy sources such as solar and wind power, water electrolysis allows to split water to produce green hydrogen without any carbon emission. Dr. Cho Won-chul of KIER Hydrogen Research Department successfully validated the technology to the extent that easy commercialization is available after the transfer.
