Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER) participated in 2018 Daejeon Science Festival

Korea Institute of Energy Research(President, Byong-sung Gwak) participated in ‘2018 Daejeon Science Festival’ held in Daejeon Expo Plaza for 4 days from 19th (Friday) to 22nd October.

The 800 students participated in the festival could have firsthand experience theories of the new and renewable energy through ‘making solar power airplane’ and ‘making nano-blocks of hydrogen station and hydrogen fuel cell vehicle’.

On 19th (Friday), the festival hosted a lecture by President of KIER, Byong-sung Gwak, titled ‘Energy lecture Meeting with a scientist’ to get to know about the importance of energy technology and the lecture went over well among the students who want to become energy scientists.

In the meantime, Daejeon Science Festival marks its 21st anniversary this year since it has been first held in 2000 and is the most representative science festival in Daejeon with the cumulated audience of 3.45 million people.
