FEP convergence research center hosted the 2nd briefing session on technology to produce future energy

- The center explained technology to respond to climate change researched for 3 years and provided consulting of the specialized technology

- Supported commercialization of the related enterprises with free technology consulting

 

Future Energy Plant convergence research center(hereinafter referred to as “FEP convergence research center”) under the Ministry of Science and ICT hosts “2nd Briefing Session on Technology to Produce Future Energy” in Bipa hall of The K Hotel Seoul located in Yangjaedong, Seoul, in 2nd October (Tuesday).

 

The session will introduce the cutting edge ‘technology to respond to climate change’ developed by FEP convergence research center for the past 3 years under the goal of resolving ‘global warming’ which is paid attention as an urgent national challenge, and provides technology explanation by senior researchers in 9 fields of technology, poser exhibition and specialized technology consulting at the same time.

 

FEP convergence research center that hosts the session was launched in December 2015 as one of ‘Project to establish convergence eco-system’ of National Research Council of Science & Technology(NST). And researchers from KIER, the supervisor, and Korea Institute of Industrial Technology(KITECH), Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science(KRISS) and Korea Institute of Machinery & Materials(KIMM) which are cooperative research organizations are gathered and carried out development of technology to respond to climate change.

 

The FEP convergence research center will introduce process analysis, response to climate change, fluidized bed combustion, operation of fluidized bed boiler, supercriticals material, reduction of air pollution, elimination of fine dust, design of cooling tower and technology to reuse water based on their research result as of now in the session.

 

In particular, The Technology Commercialization Team and Corporate Cooperation Team in KIER support free technology consulting in the session. Anyone who encounters difficulty in technology transfer and commercialization can take part in the consulting, regardless of relevance to the 9 fields of technology.

Head of FEP Convergence Research Center, Jaegu Lee told that “this briefing session is an excellent opportunity to experience cutting edge technologies to respond to climate change in one place and he hopes to have high interest and participation to this session which will serve to elevation of success of commercializing technology and technology consulting and contribute to technology exchange among industry, university and institute.”

 

In the meantime, this briefing session will be held from 1PM to 5PM, and general people who have interest in the field and students as well as small and medium size enterprises and consumer enterprises of the relevant field, power generation companies and large heavy industry enterprises can participate in the session for free of charge.
