R&D Center for Reduction of Non-CO2 Greenhouse Gases

The Research and Development Center for Reduction of Non-CO2 Greenhouse Gases (CRNG) is an agency established by the Ministry of Environment. We have developed the reduction technologies of Non-CO2 GHGs, such as nitrous oxide (N2O), methane (CH4), and fluorinated gas (F-gas).
Korea aims for voluntary reduction of 37% of BAU by 2030. Since the reduction amount is over 300 million tons CO2-eq. per year, the development and dissemination of GHG reduction technologies are indispensable.
We are trying to commercialize the technologies developed at Phase I, and we will make efforts to apply for the demanded site. In Phase II, we will further develop novel reduction technologies for the gases emitted from new GHG sources. We would like to contribute in achieving meet the goal of national GHG reduction
