(Improving the possibility of overseas technology transfer by getting recognition of domestic technology’s superiority)
Dr. Jang Bo-yun, a senor researcher and Dr. Chun Dong Hyun, a senior researcher in KIER (a head, Dr. Kwak Byong Sung) won ‘Innovation Award’ in ‘TechConnect 2017’ held in Washington D.C, America from May 14 (Sun.) to 17 (Wed.).
Eco-friendly automobile technology development organization is promoted by 2 terms (the first term and the second term) of 5 years respectively from 2011 to 2021 and from Mar. of this year, the second-term organization started by promotion agency of Korea Institute of Energy Research.
Dr. Jang Bo-yun, a senior researcher, won an award with ‘high-quality silicon nano particle manufacturing and nano-ink technology’ that is producing high-quality silicon nano particle with specially designed double tube reactor. A researcher will be in progress of research and product development so as to utilize the technology to 3D printing, ink based printing electronics.
In addition, a senior researcher, was recognized by ‘new-concept smart catalyst technology for Fischer-Tropsch synthesis that is automatically vitalized in reaction condition’. This technology has been completed the step of mass production and is interested by each countries such as Canada, Germany, South Africa, etc., so is expected to overseas technology transfer.
‘TechConnect’ event held under the support of American central government is global technology transfer event that experts of each field are gathered to advance the period of innovative technology’s commercialization presented in nature and science journal. In the event, more than 70 countries and 4000 participants such as federal institutions, universities, laboratories, huge companies, middle and small sized innovative enterprises, investors, etc. are participating every year.
